We have been engineering food plants for thousands of years!

If you have been conned into parroting the nonsense that we have been genetically engineering plants for thousands of years then ask yourself this.  Have we been crossing one species with another species where the offspring are fertile and can reproduce?  Even when we cross a horse with a donkey we get a mule.  As you should know a mule is infertile.  This is a built-in safeguard in nature to save nature from going mad.

What we have been doing is selectively breeding plants to produce traits that suite our needs.  When selectively breeding plants or animals, the plants or animals may be of a different race but of the same species.  Whenever we cross two species we get a mule called a hybrid, which is only viable for one generation.  As stated earlier that is nature’s way of protecting itself from going mad.

When genetic engineers get hold of anything to cross breed they don’t care whether they are crossing different species of plants together or crossing plants with animals including humans.  The problem is with genetic engineering, they can make the resulting plants or animals that they have been crossing together, perfectly fertile.  As a matter of fact they can do anything that the giant Drug Company they are working for tells them to do.

So it is perfectly possible in the future to have a plant in your garden that is even part human.  If anybody says to you, that to say such a thing is just scare mongering, then you are talking with an ignoramus, because that technology is on the table right now.  Whether or not we should be doing such a thing it is not for me to dictate, i’m just telling you the facts.  There are genetic engineers out there that would love to do such a thing; and many of them will do anything if you pay them.

Should we not have the right to at least debate such an issue, and not be fed misleading lies until it’s too late?  Well it seems we are not to have that right, because we have Prime Ministers and Presidents around the world that say that they are talking to the experts.  And guess who these experts are?  These experts are genetic engineers who work for companies like Monsanto/Farmacia and Bayer/Aventis and Syngenta etc.  You might as well ask the fox to look after your chooks.

For any person to say that they would never use the Terminator Gene is living in fairyland.  It is already reported that Syngenta are saying that giving up the Terminator Gene is not an option; and if they don’t intend to use it why on earth would they develop such hideous technology.  And by the way the Terminator Gene has moved into an even more dangerous phase called the Traitor Gene and if they don’t intend to use it why are they spending millions on developing such technology.

If you look at the so-called Free Trade Agreement that our Prime Minister and Minister for Trade are crowing about, then you might notice something pretty scary.  By law we may not be legally able to stop them from introducing any plants that are genetically engineered into our country.  These plants can carry any genes that they want to pollute our country with because pollen has no labels.

It seems that our stupid politicians have agreed to 5 metres between crops to stop the pollen flow.  Every farmer that has spoken to me about this 5-metre corridor between crops to stop the pollen from jumping is outraged.  And where are the Victorian Farmers Federation and the same organisations of all the other states.  And, what about the National body representing the farmers?  Are they all stupid, or is somebody being paid off?  We must have the right to ask on such an important issue.  When most farmers are saying, “don’t do it!” then why are they not listened to?

The Wheat and Barley Board are very concerned, but it seems that they are also being sidestepped.  To me it looks like corruption to the extreme, because here we are dealing with our children’s genetic heritage.  And you might well ask “why do they want to wipe out organic food in Australia?”.  Well, the pollen that will pollute our crops is patented.  Why are the Prime Minister, the Minister for Trade and Dr Sue Meek not telling you that?

This is all to be legal and that is why it is all Rush Rush Rush!  Some people want to get this transgenic pollen across our country and, when the pollen is out, it is all too late; and there are mercenary lawyers waiting in the wings to defend them doing it.

The giant Drug Companies that are doing this transgenic engineering are there to sell chemicals.  So for anybody to believe that they are developing plants that will not need chemicals is just an idiot; in the nicest possible terms of course.

These companies have billions of dollars worth of drugs to sell and that is what this technology is about.  If you can prove me wrong i will bow out.  Until then, this story will not be changed.  This site is receiving thousands of visits and one of the most visited parts of the site is that on Transgenic Crops.  There are many Australians and people from around the world who are outraged at this impending disaster of transgenic environmental terrorism.

Ask your Prime Minister why the Insurance Companies will not insure against mishap with this technology?  If they will not touch it, why is he so hell bent on dragging us down that road of no return?  Is this not highly irresponsible of our Prime Minister and our Premiers to even consider such a venture without consulting the very concerned Biologists and the Botanists of our country first?

Or perhaps they could talk to the Union of Concerned Scientists with over 60,000 members, instead of talking to Genetic Engineers who work for the Drug Companies.  And why is the Australian Network of Concerned Farmers being ignored?

As for our so-called Gene Technology Regulator, Dr Sue Meek; the message around the traps is that she had decided that she was passing our children’s genetic heritage over to the genetic engineers before she got the job.  Perhaps that is why she was chosen for the job anyway.  We must have the right to ask.  Somebody must have the responsibility to answer.

If Martians came down to earth and started to do this to our food crops we would be on a war footing, right?  Those that sold us out would be charged with treason.

Wake up Australia!

If you read the simple story GE/GM Crops in a Nutshell on this site, the concerns of many will become obvious.  Anybody that can find a mistake in this story please let me know and i’ll correct it.  However science lectures from many schools have looked at it and they say the biology is correct.  And by the way, nitpickers need not apply, as i’m too busy trying to protect our children’s future to be wasting time with selfish and ignorant reactionaries.  If you have heard the twaddle that this technology is “To feed a starving world”, then read the story Rice is life and you should never be conned again; unless it suites you to be conned.

If anybody would like to say that my words are too strong, well bad luck.  I have been telling people how important our gene pools are, since the fight for the Franklin River and then, the fight to stop Plant Variety Rights from being railroaded into Australia; and still most people don’t even know about that little whitewashed obscenity.  If you would like to know about Plant Variety Rights (PVR) you’ll find information about it tied into the much longer story Nature of Australia.

Over the years this has cost me a small fortune out of my pocket and no, i have never had the dole and i am not rich.  I don’t begrudge one cent of it because it is for our children’s future.  But honestly I’m fed up with the lies and double talk from selfish ignoramuses and powerfully rich people who don’t seem to give a damn.  If there is someone out there who would like to step up and help please do so, because i am just about broke.
