Some people say, “Oh we have been genetically engineering food for thousands of years” Sorry, we have not.
We have been genetically modifying plants through selection.
We have not been crossing plants with animals.
We have not been designing plants with a Terminator Gene so that the seeds die when they are mature then, you must buy new seeds next year; drug dependent of course.
Nor have we been designing plants with a Traitor Gene so that when seeds die you save them and then buy a drug to bring them back to life.
There are many types of Patented Genetically Engineered Pollens owned by giant drug companies.
Once their pollen gets into your crop then the owner of that pollen owns your crop by law.
You must pay royalties or be fined.
That is happening to farmers in the US right now.
That is part of the deal with the so called Free Trade Agreement with the US that our Prime Minister and his ministers are about to sign us up to, unless you say something out loud and soon.
They tell us that they’ll give us vitamins that we really need and that they intend to cure cancer with their patented drug dependent plants.
Just give them control of our food our plants and our farmers with their patents, and then trust them.
In Australia we must have a 5-metre buffer zone between crops to stop the GMO pollen from contaminating other plants.
Which politician or public serpent came up with that figure?
Have they not heard of the wind or the insects that are meant to carry pollen.
Some estimate that 80% of crops in the US are already contaminated and they cannot stop the pollen.
So the ‘buffer zones’ are a lie and a farce.
If Martians came to earth and inserted Traitor Genes into our plants where it
became impossible to save our seeds or grow our food unless we paid the Martians
a royalty for their drug dependent plants.
We would be on a war footing, right?
And those who sold us out would be charged with treason.
Well, we are about to be sold out unless you do something now.
Would someone please explain this to the Prime Minister, Mark Vaile the Minister
for Trade, the Leader of the Opposition, the Minister for Agriculture, and our
Premiers. (Here are their Addresses)
Most Australians do not want to be controlled by giant foreign drug companies
that will make our children dependent or their drugs forever more.
We do not want our farmers dragged into court because some patented pollen got
into their crop.
And we want that ‘Free Trade Agreement’ looked at by the public before we sign
up to anything otherwise, it is Null and Void.
No Prime Minister or politician has the right to sell us out to a foreign drug
company that is hell bent on making all our food plants tied into the drug industry.
That would be tantamount to treason.
Also, most Australians want their food labelled.
If a big company can afford to genetically tamper with our food they can afford
to label it.
Present labelling is a farce and a crime against those who suffer from allergies.
So, let us not rush this through, quickly and quietly while everybody is focused on the Gulf War.
Whether Mister Murdoch or Mister Packer like it or not, we are talking about the genetic heritage of our children.
Would those two gentlemen please bring this issue onto the front page so we can all think about it.
And we must beware of big expensive advertisements by those drug companies who would control our food and plants.
The main companies playing in Australia at present are Bayer, Aventis and Monsanto/Farmacia.
They have already conned our Prime Minister and most of our Premiers.
Don’t let them con you!
The world is searching for clean and green non-genetically engineered food and seeds.
Could Australia not supply clean food and become a ‘clean seed bank’ for the world.
We are in a unique position.
In the end, even the Americans will be looking for clean natural seeds when theirs become so contaminated they cannot control the disaster their own companies have caused.
Those companies are responsible for a type of environmental vandalism never before seen in the history of the world.
Why pollute our crops and destroy our markets?
Our markets are for clean food.
Do our politicians work for our children’s future or giant drug companies?
When our Prime Minister understands this issue perhaps he will not sell out on our children.
Sadly, it looks like in New Zealand the politicians have just sold out on their own.
